so that it curls up, dips back, and then waves at the end.

With Collie still by Lace’s side, the astute angel silently informs Lace, “The suicidal framework these dictators practice is not supported by their supposed immortality. All lords to the Antichrist have an arrangement to live forever here on earth. Technology allows for cloning. When one of these servants expires, their knowledge is salvaged, placed into a processing instrument, and transferred into a replacement body.

“What they suffer from, in their mental sickness, is a deranged form of depression. But just as you may find a fallen angel willing to carry out acts that are in nature, honorable, so there are human servants to The Dark Prince that make dishonorable decisions.” Collie paces nervously, staring beyond the hovering land’s rim at a mountainous landscape of nighttime clouds, reshaping to adapt a tropical-like scenery, glowing with bright sunset colors.

It feels as though Lace were in the presence of a great movie star when greeted by this final lord. “It seems you and your band of miscreants are severed from direct instruction,” Lord Christophe reveals. “It’s told in your faith that the Lord moves in mysterious ways. I have this task for you. If you complete it, through the abilities I control, you will be free to reunite with your Master, and return to the era you have come from. My assistant Adeline will accompany you. You will need to travel to a portion of time when humanity’s heart becomes the darkest it’s ever been. So corrupt are the overall masses that the common man is willing to sell his soul, and eternal safety, for momentary possessions. Let me better explain the measure of this situation…

“With a heart always longing to be satisfied, man relies on self hope, expecting that greater fulfillment can be obtained by acquiring the wants he desires. We see this force fueling the actions of sexual predators as they indulge in demon-like fetishes. Others gather all that they can, building a sense of security around them. But as they sit alone amongst their horde, the excitement in gaining such products fades. Their empty desires under these circumstances never diminish. These emotions cause plaguing despair, with great potency.”

Lace interjects, hoping that by imparting God’s Word it will settle into the hearts of Christophe and Adeline…“Man’s problems could be made easy, by following the instructions of our Great Counselor. Set your mind on things above, turning away from things of this world” (Colossians 3:1-4.)”

Christophe seems to disregard what’s been told, continuing with what he expects of Lace.

“I need for you to find me a servant, one that is not burdened by the sickness of greed, so that I may rely on him as my liaison. Adeline will direct you. Take from the timeline five men, all of which are destined for execution. You will be a savior to them, extending their lives.”

“This will not be an easy task, Lord Christophe,” Lace interjects. “Many realize at this time that the only way to escape suffering and persecution is to be martyred.”

Nodding in understanding, Christophe further explains, “Most of the volunteers that you will find frequent the House of the Lord. A vision has been offered to me of these individuals. They are each blessed with extraordinary abilities. One is strong like the earth, whose flesh cannot be penetrated and is so powerful that he stands firm like a rock; his body cannot be pulled apart by the strongest machine. One has the power to destroy buildings with his hands. The other was blind at birth and uses mental sonar to navigate. The fourth has the ability to calm animals and command insects, while being immune to poisonous venom and disease. The fifth has been in over 1000 violent accidents, and has yet to sustain injury. These super humans are destined for greatness, and must not submit to death just yet.”

“But how could you expect these agents to wholeheartedly serve a cause you lead, knowing they stand behind a servant to their sworn enemy?”

“How I plan on winning them over is not yours to worry about. Adeline was in similar circumstances, yet you see she stays willingly, as will the others brought to me.”

“But why don’t you use her to do the recruiting? Why use us?”

“Because you are the only way they will agree to leave.”

With the extraordinary power Adeline controls, Lace and the angels travel years earlier in time. Rejuvenation beams within Lace and his companions, from entering into God’s house and feeling His presence. Lace understands why Adeline would have been ineffective. Her essence is discolored, and does not beam like the chosen five.

The Holy Spirit cleanses from the inside out, offering a bountiful fragrance, akin to that of our Heavenly Father’s. Feelings of hate, anger, resentment all evaporate. This effect is reminiscent of the days Lace spends outdoors, in the all-surrounding presence of The Lord Messiah. There, with all things free of agitation, there is no desire of retaliation. The animals, blessed by an absence of fear, remain calm and serene all day long. They never backlash at another creature. Frequently Lace has basked in Emanuel’s radiance, in the company of a familiar leopard that enjoys sitting on Lace’s lap, while the raccoons display affection toward the porcupines, who enjoy having their faces petted.

As an offering, Lace feels it’s time to pass on the key that was given to him for graduation. At the front of the church is a collection plate, for those to donate items.

The glory of God, felt in Lace, diminishes, realizing the impure essence (evident with Adeline) will befall these other five. How could Lace live with himself, knowing he aided the enemy, by placing these anomalies into the hands of an evildoer?
